Short answer: A trusted Odoo partner does not talk about itself; it shows evidence you can verify: its tier in the odoo.com directory, a certified team, a client retention rate, cases with numbers and references you can call. You can check each of these 9 signals yourself in 5–10 minutes. Deep Vision, an Odoo Gold Partner from Tashkent, shows all of them openly.
If you are looking for a trusted Odoo partner, you have probably noticed that every website says the same thing: "experienced team", "hundreds of projects", "tailored approach". None of it can be checked. So this article ignores the adjectives and focuses on trust signals that are publicly verifiable. For each one we explain what to look for, where to check it, and what Deep Vision can show on that point.
Why bother? Gartner expects that by 2027 more than 70% of recently implemented ERP initiatives will fail to fully meet their original business goals (Gartner). Choosing the right partner is the cheapest way to lower that risk, because you make the decision before the project starts.
What are the signs of a trusted Odoo partner?
A trust signal is evidence confirmed by a third party (Odoo, clients, universities, public sources) rather than by the provider itself, and one that a buyer can verify independently.
Work through these 9 signals in order.
1. Is the company in the Odoo partner directory, and at what tier?
Official Odoo partners are listed in the odoo.com/partners directory. The tier (Ready, Silver, Gold) is assigned by Odoo; a provider cannot pick it. Under Odoo's official requirements, Gold requires 300 new Enterprise users a year, 6 certified people and client retention of at least 80%.
If the company is not in the directory at all, it may have no official partnership with Odoo. Then ask directly: who is accountable for licences, upgrades and technical support?
2. Are there certified experts?
The directory page shows how many certified experts a partner has and for which versions. A certificate on an old version does not prove knowledge of the current one.
3. What is the client retention rate?
Retention shows whether clients keep working with the partner. It is a number based on real client behaviour, not on marketing.
4. Are there references in the directory?
The partner page lists client references: how many, which industries, and the size of the largest and average project. Starting a large project with a provider that has no references is risky.
5. Are there public cases with numbers?
A good case study does not say "the client is happy". It answers what the situation was, what was done, how long it took and which metric changed.
6. Are there references you can call?
Ask the provider for 2–3 client contacts and call them yourself. Ask what they did not like, too.
7. Is there a real office, phone number and legal entity?
Can you visit the office, meet the managing director and sign the contract with a registered company? Building a long-term system with a team you only reach through a messenger app is hard.
8. Is there education and community activity?
Seminars, courses and university partnerships show depth of knowledge and an intention to stay in the market for the long term.
9. Has the company contributed to Odoo in the open?
Translations, public articles, community activity. These can also be checked in public sources.
The signals work together. A high tier with very few references does not add up, and many certificates with low retention can mean the team knows the product but its client process is weak. So look at the whole picture. The strongest signal is when several independent sources confirm the same thing: the Odoo directory, the clients themselves and public case studies.
One more point: check trust signals before you compare prices. A cheap quote looks attractive, but if the project fails, a second implementation costs more than the first. Decide whom you can trust first, then compare offers.
How do you check the trust signals yourself?
Run each candidate through this list:
- open odoo.com/partners and search for the company by name;
- note the tier, the number of certified experts and their versions;
- compare the retention rate with the minimum Odoo requires;
- match the number and industries of references against your business;
- check whether the cases on their website include concrete numbers and timelines;
- call at least two clients yourself;
- visit the office and meet the people who will run your project;
- search public sources for the company's seminars, training and events;
- check in the draft contract who owns the code, the data and the access rights.
If a provider cannot show one of these signals, that does not automatically make it a bad company. But the answer should be clear: why not, and what evidence there is instead. If you choose a provider that cannot show public proof, you are taking the risk on yourself. A detailed list of questions is in our guide to choosing an Odoo partner.
Which trust signals can Deep Vision show?
We list a source for each point so you can check it yourself.
- Directory and tier. Deep Vision is an official Odoo Gold Partner; our odoo.com partner page is public.
- Certified team. The page shows 7 Odoo-certified experts across versions 17 to 19.
- Retention. 89% client retention, against the Gold minimum of 80%.
- References. 20+ client references, mostly wholesale, retail and manufacturing, plus construction, logistics and entertainment. The largest client has 100+ users; the average project is about 22 users.
- Cases with numbers. The Timsoll case: 18 branches, 7,000+ SKUs, and new-product setup cut from 6–8 months to 2–3 days. In another case, a client with 100+ employees cut yearly licence costs for scattered tools from about $30,000 to about $11,000 (details). Optika.uz and RockBeton are in our portfolio.
- Office and contacts. Tashkent, phone +998 77 093 00 07, info@deepvision.uz.
- Education. 4 hackathons, 3 seminars and an online Odoo course; Odoo is taught with Deep Vision at 3 universities to 300+ students a year.
- Community contribution. In the Odoo 19 source code, 360 of 376 Uzbek translation files credit Deepvision (Amon Olimov, Jonibek Yorqulov), and about 97% of 60,618 strings are translated. More in our article on Odoo in Uzbek.
If you want to speak with references, just ask: we arrange it with our clients' consent. A company overview is on this page, and our delivery steps are on the Odoo implementation service page.
Which signs should lower your trust?
Some signals are a reason for caution:
- the provider is not in the odoo.com directory and cannot explain why;
- the website has only adjectives and not a single case with numbers;
- when you ask for references, "confidentiality" means nobody is shown;
- a price is quoted at the first meeting, without any diagnostics;
- the contract says nothing about who owns the code and data;
- the team has only programmers and no consultant who analyses business processes.
None of these is a verdict on its own, but the more of them you see, the higher the risk.
Frequently asked questions
How can I quickly check a trusted Odoo partner?
Open the odoo.com/partners directory: tier, certified experts, retention and references are on one page. Then call two clients yourself.
Does Gold status guarantee quality?
Not completely, but for Gold, Odoo sets requirements on yearly user volume, a certified team and client retention. That is a much stronger signal than an unknown provider.
Can I work with a company that is not in the directory?
You can, but assess the risk yourself: find out who is accountable for licences, upgrades and support.
What should I ask references?
Whether the project finished on time, whether the budget grew, how support works after go-live and what they did not like.
Can I see Deep Vision's references?
Yes. Directory references are public, and cases are published on our blog and portfolio. We arrange calls with clients with their consent.
