Short answer: Online store automation for a vitamin and supplement shop means running website, Telegram and marketplace orders, courier delivery, cash on delivery and Payme/Click payments, and warehouse expiry dates in one system. As a result, courier cash is reconciled every day, stock nearing expiry is flagged in advance, and customers get a reminder before their vitamin course runs out.
Selling vitamins and dietary supplements online looks simple from the outside: launch a website, run Instagram ads, hire a courier. But once orders grow to dozens and then hundreds a day, problems start: a Telegram order is forgotten, the courier's cash does not match the till, and expired packs turn up in the warehouse. This article explains how online store automation works for a vitamin and supplement business, which processes to move into a system first, and what the results look like in numbers.
How fast is online retail growing in Uzbekistan?
According to KPMG, Uzbekistan's e-commerce market reached $311 million in 2022, up 33% year on year, and could grow to $1.8–2.2 billion by 2027 (KPMG, 2023). The same report puts the share of cashless payments at 33% in 2022, which means cash, including cash on delivery, still plays a large role.
For a vitamin shop this means two things: order volumes grow quickly, and a large share of the money passes through couriers' hands. Both become harder to control manually.
What is online store automation?
Online store automation means running every step, from taking the order to reconciling payment and bringing the customer back for a repeat purchase, in one database without re-typing data.
In a typical setup, the website is in one place, Telegram orders in another, stock in Excel and the courier report in a notebook. In an automated store every order, wherever it comes from, lands in one list and is automatically linked to inventory, delivery, payment and accounting.
Which processes cause the most errors in a vitamin and supplement store?
In our experience with businesses of this type, these problems come up most often:
- Orders arrive from several channels, and some get lost or shipped twice.
- A courier holds cash for several days, and nobody knows exactly how much was collected for which order.
- Orders paid via Payme or Click are checked by hand and wrongly stay marked as unpaid.
- The warehouse ships in random order instead of by expiry date, so older batches are left behind.
- The customer does not notice that a one-month vitamin course has run out and buys the next pack from a competitor.
- Returns and refused deliveries are not recorded as stock coming back.
How do you connect orders, delivery and cash on delivery?
The core chain should look like this:
- One order inbox: website, Telegram bot, Instagram requests and phone orders taken by an operator all land in one list.
- Automatic reservation: once an order is confirmed, stock is reserved, so the risk of selling one pack to two customers disappears.
- Delivery route: orders are grouped by district and handed to the courier as a list; the courier marks each one as delivered or refused on a phone.
- Cash reconciliation: at the end of the day the system totals the orders the courier delivered and compares it with the cash handed in.
- Online payments: Payme and Click payments are matched to orders; in Odoo they are connected through local integration modules.
- Returns: a refused order goes back into stock automatically and is posted correctly in accounting.

How do you control expiry dates and product marking?
Every batch of vitamins and supplements has its own expiry date, so batch-level inventory is a must.
- Each receipt is booked with a lot number and expiry date.
- When shipping, the system first suggests the batch that expires soonest (FEFO).
- A list of products with, say, 90 days or less of shelf life left is generated automatically and used for promotions.
- The system records which customer received each batch, so a problem batch can be traced quickly.
On marking: according to CRPT Turon, the operator of Asl Belgisi, a voluntary digital marking project for dietary supplements started on 1 March 2025 (CRPT Turon, 2025). The official sources we checked do not announce a mandatory start date for supplements, so it is worth watching for updates. What changes after automation: in numbers
- Abandoned carts come back: based on 50 studies, Baymard Institute puts the average online cart abandonment rate at 70.22%; reasons include extra costs (40%), slow delivery (20%) and not trusting the site with card details (19%) (Baymard Institute, 2025). The system shows delivery cost and timing up front, and cash on delivery eases the trust issue.
- Personal offers drive revenue: McKinsey reports that 71% of consumers expect personalized interactions and that personalization most often drives a 10–15% revenue lift (McKinsey, 2021). A reminder that a vitamin course is ending is the simplest form of such an offer.
- Cash control: KPMG found cashless payments were only 33% of the total in 2022 (KPMG, 2023), so daily reconciliation of courier cash is one of the fastest-paying automations for a store.
- Less expired stock: FEFO picking and expiry alerts help sell older batches on time.
For example, say a store ships 100 orders a day and 60 of them are paid in cash. If the money for 1–2 orders a day goes missing in the courier report, by month end that adds up to dozens of orders. Automatic daily reconciliation shows the gap the same day. This is an illustrative calculation; your real numbers depend on your store.
What does the system do to bring customers back?
Vitamins and supplements are repeat-purchase products. When a 30- or 60-day pack runs out, the customer needs to buy again.
- Each product has a course length, and the system calculates the next purchase date.
- As that date approaches, the customer receives an SMS or Telegram reminder with a one-click reorder link.
- Customers are segmented by purchase history and receive relevant offers.
- Loyalty points and promo codes work the same way on the website, in Telegram and for operator orders.

How does Deep Vision approach this?
Deep Vision is an official Odoo Gold Partner in Tashkent. According to its Odoo partner page, our team has 7 Odoo-certified experts and 24 client references, mostly in wholesale, retail and manufacturing, with 89% customer retention (Odoo). The team of Deep Vision founder Amon Olimov translated Odoo into Uzbek and built ready-made modules for Asl Belgisi and Didox.
On an online store project we usually:
- Start by analysing order channels, the warehouse and the courier process.
- Set up Odoo eCommerce, Sales, Inventory (with lots and expiry dates), CRM and Accounting in one database.
- Connect Payme, Click, Telegram and, where needed, marketplaces.
- Take standard sales and inventory live in 6–8 weeks in many cases; a full project takes 2–6 months.

Frequently asked questions
Does a small online store need an ERP?
With a few orders a day, Excel may be enough. Once orders come from several channels and you have more couriers, one system cuts errors sharply.
Do Payme and Click work with Odoo?
Standard Odoo does not include these payment providers, but they connect through local integration modules, and payments are matched to orders automatically.
Is marking mandatory for dietary supplements?
According to CRPT Turon, a voluntary marking project for supplements started on 1 March 2025. Watch for an official decision on a mandatory phase.
How do you control courier cash?
Each courier is assigned a list of orders; at the end of the day the system totals delivered orders and compares the amount with the cash handed in.
How do you track expiry dates?
Inventory is kept by lot and expiry date, picking follows FEFO, and automatic alerts flag products close to expiry.
