Short answer: Local sales processes in Uzbekistan — sales on credit (nasiya), debt reconciliation statements (akt sverki), regional dealers, cash, card terminals and Click/Payme/Uzum, prices in UZS and USD, consignment and bazaar wholesale — can all be run in standard Odoo through its apps and settings. The catch is that the implementation team has to know these habits upfront: a specialist or partner from Dubai or any other country must learn them first and struggles to deliver the project properly. Deep Vision is an Odoo Gold Partner in Tashkent, and most of our clients are in wholesale, retail and manufacturing.
Trade in Uzbekistan does not look like the textbook version. A customer takes goods today and pays in two weeks; a regional dealer thinks in US dollar prices but pays in sum; one receipt at the till is settled with cash, a card and Click; at month-end the accountant reconciles balances with every large customer. Local sales processes are rarely discussed when choosing an ERP, yet this is exactly where an Odoo implementation succeeds or fails. This article shows how each habit is modelled in standard Odoo and how to check whether your Odoo implementation partner really understands it.
Why are local sales processes the most delicate part of an ERP project?
Local sales processes are a company's unwritten but daily rules: who gets goods on credit, how debts are reconciled, what price a dealer pays, and which channel the money arrives through.
According to Gartner, by 2027 more than 70% of recently implemented ERP initiatives will fail to fully meet their original business goals (Gartner). One reason is that the system gets configured for an assumed process rather than the real one.
A simple example: a wholesaler goes live on Odoo, but nobody sets up payment terms. Every sale shows up as "paid immediately", the receivables report is empty, and sales managers go back to tracking debts in Excel. The system exists, but there is no control over cash.
Why does a specialist from Dubai or any other country struggle with local sales practices?
An Odoo consultant flying in from Dubai, Europe, Turkey, India, Russia or Kazakhstan may be an excellent professional in their own market. But they come from a different business environment, where sales usually run on prepayment or on invoices with firm due dates, and where a nasiya notebook, a signed reconciliation statement or "priced in dollars, paid in sum" look different or do not exist at all. Such a team has to learn local practice first, and it cannot stand next to your storekeeper, cashier or bazaar stall to watch the process live. That gives it built-in disadvantages in delivering the project properly. A local team already lives these habits and asks in the very first meeting: "Who approves the credit limit?"
How do you run sales on credit and reconciliation statements in Odoo?
Nasiya means shipping goods with deferred payment; akt sverki is a document in which both parties confirm the outstanding balance for a period.
In standard Odoo it is built like this:
- Each customer gets payment terms: for example 14 or 30 days, or partial prepayment.
- A credit limit is set per customer; the salesperson is warned when an order exceeds it.
- Receivables are shown in an aged report (0–30, 31–60, 60+ days).
- The Partner Ledger shows the opening balance, sales, payments and closing balance for any period — the basis of a reconciliation statement.
- The familiar local printed form, with signatures of both parties, is configured as a report template.
Experience matters here: who may override the limit, and how a return or a dollar-agreed debt is reconciled.
How do you set up regional dealers and sales agents?
Many wholesalers sell outside Tashkent through dealers and field agents. In Odoo:
- Each region or channel becomes a separate sales team with its own targets and reports.
- Dealers get their own pricelists and discount rules.
- Agents enter orders from a phone or tablet in the browser, and the warehouse sees them at once.
- Sales, debts and margin are analysed separately for each territory.
Cash, terminals, Click, Payme and Uzum: how are payments recorded?
In Uzbekistan one customer may pay in cash, by bank transfer, by card at a terminal and through payment apps within the same month. In Odoo each payment channel is set up as a separate journal (cash or bank account). The cashier can split a receipt across several methods, and the accountant reconciles each channel against the bank statement or the provider's report. We do not promise automatic integration with payment apps here: the standard approach is a separate account per channel and regular reconciliation.
Prices in UZS and USD, consignment and returns
- Pricelists can be kept in both sum and dollars; exchange rates are stored in the system and reports come out in the company currency.
- Consignment: Odoo Inventory can record the owner of stock; goods held by a dealer sit in a separate location and are invoiced as they are sold.
- Returns: a return is created from the delivery order, followed by a credit note or a refund.
- Bazaar wholesale: Point of Sale (POS) handles fast sales, charging to the customer's account (nasiya) and partial payment.
Also remember that e-invoicing has been mandatory in Uzbekistan since 1 January 2020 for obligated taxpayers (EDICOM): the sales process eventually has to flow into e-invoices through an operator such as Didox.
How can you check that a partner knows local sales processes?
Ask these questions in the first meeting:
- How do you configure nasiya and credit limits in Odoo, and who approves them?
- Which report and which printed form do you use for reconciliation statements?
- How do you reconcile a debt agreed in dollars and paid in sum?
- How will we reconcile Click, Payme, Uzum and terminal receipts with the bank?
- Where can I see stock given to a dealer on consignment?
- How do separate wholesale and retail pricelists work?
- Can you show a project at a similar trading company?
Generic answers mean part of your budget will pay for the contractor's learning curve.

Frequently asked questions

Can Odoo produce a reconciliation statement (akt sverki)?
Yes, based on the Partner Ledger. The printed form your company needs is configured as a separate template.
How is money received via Click or Payme recorded?
Each channel is kept as a separate journal and reconciled with the provider's report. If you need automatic integration, it is scoped separately.
What if prices are in dollars but payment is in sum?
Odoo is multi-currency: a pricelist can be in dollars while the invoice and payment are in sum, and exchange differences are recorded.
Is consignment to dealers supported?
Yes, through stock ownership and separate locations. Only the sold part is invoiced.
